Composer's Today Updates
Do you have a student who has a passion for composition? Are you preparing their works for submission to the MTAC Composer's Today program? Don't miss this important opportunity to help them grow musically and enrich us all with new music! A number of my students have mpositions ready to go, but the preparation for submission part is always the most challenging for me, getting the notes sketched on paper so we can enter them in a notation program. Of course, pieces can also be entered that are handwritten. Teaching pieces and advanced works are also encouraged from our talented pool of teachers here at our San Diego branch. This is a last minute reminder for all teachers planning on entering students in the upcoming evaluations-the deadline for materials to be sent to me is Feb. 15th! If you are only doing the State contest, you have until March 30th to get me the final drafts. How fast the time flies..... If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me. Composer's Today Information and Forms can be found on the MTAC State Website. Forms will no longer be sent out to you. Click on Composers Today and it will lead you through all the information for the upcoming year for all programs. All the forms will be there to print out. Please include a branch fee of 10.00 per student (not per composition) for those entering the evaluations.
