The following instructions
are for registering students for the following MTAC events: Popular
Music Festival, Sonata Contest, Duo Festival, Concerto Competition,
and Spring Festival. They do not apply to Certificate of Merit,
Composers Today, Bach, Goodlin or VOCE registration.
Log onto the Branch Website
at sandiegomtac.com
Click on Login found in the left-side
menu, Your username will be your first initial and your last name
If this is the first time you have used the online registration,
login with your one-time password and then create a new password.
After entering username and password, you will see the Main Menu,
which will list the following options:

My Students
MTAC Events
View Students Registered by Event
Begin by editing your personal
information:
Upon logging in, it is very important to verify your personal
information contained in the database. To do this, click on Edit
Teacher Info. Edit any of your personal information that may be
incomplete or incorrect and create your own password if you are
a first time user. Click Save, and Return to Main Menu.
Next, add or edit your students
in the database:
Click My Students on the Main Menu. This will list all of the
students you have previously entered in the database. If you need
to add students, click Add New Student. Complete all information
for the student and click Save. Each student will be saved in
the database and will appear on your My Students page from now
on. The Add New Student form will return you to the My Students
page when you are finished. To add additional students click the
Add New Student link again, and complete the form. You can also
edit or delete student information from the My Students page.
Once finished, click Return to Main Menu to go back to the Main
Menu.
To register for an event:
Click the MTAC Events link on the Main Menu. All events with current
open registration will be displayed.
Step 1: This will present the name of the event and details. Please
verify that this is the event you wish to register for and click
Register for Event.
Step 2: If the event requires that a student be registered in
a specific group, you will have to select a group, or if the event
allows duets, you will have to click on Duet. Click the Next button.
Step 3: Select Students to Play. Select your student from the
drop down menu. Enter the required composition information including
the performance time. When finished, click Save Registration at
the bottom of the page. Once an application is complete you will
return to the MTAC Events page. Click on Register for Event to
register additional students.
After registering all students, return
to Main Menu. Click on View Students Registered by Event. This
will list all the specifications of the event, with all the students
you have registered for that event and the amount owed. If an
application is incorrect or needs to be changed, click on Delete
This Application and re-enter the student’s correct information.
Items to mail to
complete your registration: Print a copy of the Students Registered
by Event list and mail it to the event coordinator with your registration
fee. The registration fee for all events EXCEPT Concerto is $25
per student. The check for registration fees MUST be drawn on
the teacher's account. Individual checks drawn from student or
parent accounts will be returned and their spot deleted from the
event. Your check for all students registered along with a copy
of the Students Registered by Event list must be postmarked by
the deadline indicated for that event in order for your students
to participate.
